Before continuing to ‘browse’ the site, please read on as it will explain our association with Unique Home for Girls in Jalandhar.
UK Friends of Unique Home (Punjab) are a bone-fide UK Registered Charity (Charity No. 1127531) solely based in UK with our primary purpose being to raise funds here in UK to assist Unique Home for Girls in Jalandhar with the construction of their new premises. We have no legal or formal standing regard the day to day running of Unique Home for Girls in Punjab as this is administered by a duly locally elected Board of Trustees who are entirely independent of and have no formal connection to or with UK Friends of Unique Home (Punjab).
Unfortunately, Unique Home for Girls in Punjab has yet to link-up to the World Wide Web and because of this they presently cannot reach out and inform the WWW Community of the work they are doing. This is left to knowledgeable individuals and associated organisations like ours. This said we have been instructed by the Management Committee at the Home that all enquirer(s) who complete our website Contact Form and would like further information regards the running of the home or questions answered regard the welfare/education of the children are to be given the Home’s direct contact details, available on this website.
However, we do maintain personal contact with the Home on a weekly basis to enable us to update our website and facebook page (Unique Home for Girls) in order to provide information to our many Members and Supporters across the globe. In addition to this we ensure that at least one of our own Trustees makes a personal visit to the Home bi-annually, this normally coincides with a visit to family and friends in the Region.
